Our History
Foundation
Staunch Machinery was founded by Mostafa Hijazi as AL Nahda Industrial Group in 1979 in a modest shop dedicated to producing high-quality concrete mixers. With a focus on superior craftsmanship, Mostafa prioritized product quality over rapid turnover, establishing a reputation for reliability that set Staunch Machinery apart from the competition. This dedication to excellence laid the foundation for the company’s future growth.
A New Era
After the passing of Mostafa Hijazi in 1997, his son Wissam Hijazi succeeded him as CEO, leading the company with a vision to expand and innovate. Under the leadership of Wissam and his brothers the company broadened its horizons through extensive research, enhanced public relations, and cross-border Networking. This strategic development led to a diversified product line coupled with enhanced product quality, which paved the way to international markets.
Expansion & Diversification
Building on the momentum of the late 1990s, Staunch Machinery experienced significant growth in the early 2000s. The company acquired a new headquarters with expanded manufacturing facilities, enabling the production of a broader range of machinery, including tower lights, generators, and other construction solutions. This move solidified Staunch Machinery's position as a key player in the construction machinery industry.
Global reach
Throughout the 2010s, Staunch Machinery continued to expand its reach, growing its manufacturing operations in Lebanon and extending its market presence across Africa and Australia. The company launched branches in key locations around the world, including the United States, Australia, Uganda, Mali, Togo, and Angola, marking its transition into a global enterprise.
